Ice Crystal Figure Skating Club

The Ice Crystal Figure Skating Club currently has approximately 240 skaters registered for group sessions. We have more CanSkaters than ever this season with about 120 registered therefore needing 2 sessions. Of course this wouldn't be done without the help of our Program Assistants in which we have about 16 helping out. As a token of appreciation this season the Club bought our PA's jackets for their hard work and dedication over the years.

We have had or will be having skaters attend all of the eligible competitions this season, this is great, we try to encourage our skaters to compete as it builds great self esteem. Unfortunately for us travel is always a downer and does deter a lot of the younger skater's parents. Nevertheless we still had a good showing this year for Regionals and an especially high interest in Interclub with about 13 of our skaters registered to go.

Of course our club would not be in such good shape if it weren't for our wonderful coach, Karen Jones. She is into her 2nd year as coach with our club and it feels as if she's been here forever. The skaters and parents all adore her. She is working extremely hard and has brought back the passion of figure skating to our Town. Things are looking good for the Ice Crystals.
