Brought to you in association with Fortis Properties |
Location: Mile One Stadium, St. John's, NF
The 2003 Eastern Regional Festival of Synchronized Skating was held February 14-15 in St. John's and was a great success. 31 teams from 4 provinces took part, and the event was distinguished by some great skating, tremendous enthusiasm and team spirit, and great organization. Thanks to all our volunteers, skaters, coaches, chaperones and of course our sponsors for making this a memorable occasion.
The Western, Central and Eastern Regional Festival of Synchronized Skating Competitions are part of the overall Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Development program. These events are planned, managed and executed by Skate Canada Sections on a rotational basis, in conjunction with a volunteer local organizing team.
The purpose of this level of competition is to provide recreational synchronized skating teams the opportunity to qualify for National level competition in a program specifically designed to meet the needs of this type of team and skater. The top six teams in each of four Festival categories in each Regional competition may advance to the Bank of Montreal National Festival of Synchronized Skating Championships.
