- present at all pre-skate, Canskate, Canfigureskate sessions

- 1985 - nominated for CFSA volunteer award
- 1986 - finalist City of Corner Brook¹s executive of the year for work with Silver Blades
- 1987 - first Newfoundland Centrum achievement award recipient (awarded posthumously at Sectionals 1987) award for most deserving individual
