- - fundraising – greatly expanded fund raising and was always in touch with fund raising companies to have them display their wares at the annual meetings. This was a very successful operation
- - marketing- began marketing and getting sponsorships for various skaters and competitions
- - public relations – her persistence with the media gave us a much greater presence in print than we had ever had. – weekly TV guide and sports inserts on TV – cable 9 did several slots on figure skating in general Canskate, and precision- as well as CBC sports section of the news.
- - 1992 Newfoundland Section Volunteer of the Year – received her plaque at the National AGM Awards Banquet in Ottawa
A sports writer wrote that Figure Skating’s Judy Mugford of Conception Bay South “is quickly becoming one of the finest PR persons within local amateur sport”
