Core Values

Filed under: News — admin @ 8:04 am

Throughout 2011 Skate Canada Newfoundland and Labrador’s Board of Directors and staff have been participating in a Skate Canada and True Sport “Living
Our Values” pilot program. This has provided us the opportunity to learn more about how a Management by Values philosophy could help our Section Board and Staff identify, define and live our values more intentionally.
The pilot program was designed to help our Section Board and Staff:

  • Identify and define the values that we as Section most believe in for our section
  • Determine how these values will serve as a compass to guide the Section’s Board and Staff in daily decisions
  • Commit to living these values each and every day by integrating them into all our policies and practices
  • To make decisions on how to INTEGRATE and LIVE our values; develop a
    planning matrix
  • Learn how to MANAGE using values in order to see a positive Return On Investment
  • Make a decision on EVALUATING the impact of values for our section

As announced at the 2011 Skate Canada Newfoundland and Labrador Annual General Meeting we have identified our Section Core Values as Integrity,
Innovation, Collaboration and Excellence.
