Synchro Nationals

Prince of Wales SC Intermediate synchro team Synergy competed at the 2011 BMO Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships in Brampton, ON. Approximately 53 synchronized skating teams travelled from across Canada to compete in the novice, intermediate, open, junior and senior categories. Synergy had an good first skate scoring 50.61, and followed that with another solid skate, scoring 48.54 – they placed 14th. Their total of 73.84 was less than a point below their own provincial record.

Joey Russell at Four Continents

Canadian bronze medalist Joey Russell competed at the ISU Four Continents event in Tapei. Joey was in fourteenth place after the short program with a score of 57.67. He scored 113.51 in the long for a total of 171.18, and finished 14th overall

2011 Skate Mount Pearl

Skate Mount Pearl/Frosty Festival hosted by the Mount Pearl SC, was held on Saturday, February 12, 2011. Elin Maskova from Prince of Wales SC, was the winner of the “Skate Mount Pearl Most Artistic Skater”.

2011 Atlantic Regional Synchronized Skating Championships

Synergy- Cornel Trophy winners

The 2011 Atlantic Regional Synchronized Skating Championships took place today January 29, 2011 at The Glacier, Mount Pearl, NL. Synergy (Intermediate, Prince of Wales SC) won the Cornel Trophy (awarded to the team, who in the opinion of the judges was the best team in the competition), and the Trinity Placentia Flames (Juvenile) were voted the most spirited team and winner of the Butt trophy (previous winners)
