Congratulations to Matthew Power of Ice Crystal, and Ashley Morgan of Prince of Wales on passing their gold freeskate tests, and Suzannah Healey (CBS) and Jennifer White (Deer Lake) on passing their gold interpretive tests. Gold Test skaters Joey Russell was one of three finalists for the Sport Newfoundland & Labrador Ferd Hayward Senior Male Athlete of the year award. He was up against strong competition from Justin Gill (softball) and eventual winner Luke Adam (hockey). Skate Canada NL is pleased to provide a high quality training environment offering Competitive and STAR skaters the opportunity to develop and achieve personal goals. This program will be offered July 12 – August 20 in St. John’s.
